In late 2015, we decided to switch our third-party management from a large well-known company to Pegasus Residential; and it made all the difference to our bottom line. Pegasus’ ability to focus on executing our cost containment strategies and maintaining great curb appeal has been instrumental in adding great value to our assets. Although we were a smaller shop at the time, Pegasus provided us with the same level of attention they would have given to their largest, most valuable client.

We are a very detail-oriented client, and Pegasus’ attention to detail and their sense of urgency make them a perfect match for us. Their corporate support teams, especially their accounting team, are some of the best I’ve worked with thus far.

Their ability to attract and retain top-notch talent at all levels, especially the regional manager role, is the best I have worked alongside in my 15 years of multifamily experience.

Westplan competes with full-service real estate companies that develop, own and manage their assets. We are an owner/developer that engages third-party management to oversee the day-to-day operations. We consider Pegasus a partner rather than a third-party manager. Their assistance with programming early in the development process allows us to produce a product that is easier for them to sell to prospective renters and more competitive in the market. We aren’t a large company, but Pegasus makes us feel like a valued and important client.

    Institutional Infrastructure: We focus primarily on heavy value-add deals which typically include a significant physical renovation, operational repositioning, and a rebranding. We work with Pegasus on the construction, day-to-day management, and marketing to ensure we create an authentic community that is cohesive and unique and delivers a great experience to our residents. We couldn’t do it as smoothly without having a partner with all the in-house capabilities.
